my son goes to bed about 8pm i do give him a bottle before he goes down,most days he eat's alot..!! he wakes back up around 11 i do try get him back asleep by rubbin his back but he just wont go back down unless i give him another bottle. he wakes back up around 4 same steps again,i really dont like givin him the bottles but it seems like the only way he wil go back down for me.. does anyone have the same problem?plz help....!!!!!

i went through this w/ my daughter too. i just kept diluting the bottle w/ more and more water each night. also, kept reducing the amount 4oz, 2oz, 1oz. don't warm it either. just take it straight out of the fridge. after a few weeks she lost interest. now, that's not to say she never wakes up at night...the reasons just change. teething, separation anxiety, dreams, etc.

thanks i was thinkin that lettin him stay up a little bit longer,ill try that..!! my son isnt a big eater at ni ill just have to find things that he likes... thanks again xxx

My son used to be the same way around that age. We would give him a bottle and then he would wake back up. There were several things we did. We put him to sleep around 9 pm, and so we always make sure he gets a good bedtime snack, around 8 or 8:15 (applesauce, crackers and cheese, a cereal or oatmeal bar) and he stopped waking up to eat. However, he would still wake up in the middle of the night and want us to come in the room so that we could put him back to sleep. When we put him to bed for the night, we started giving him the bottle, he would drink it, and then we leave the room so that he falls asleep on his own. He definitely wasn't happy about this the first few nights, and we had about 4 nights of crying (ranging from 45 min down to 30 sec) but have had no problems since. (he is 27 mos) He doesn't wake up anymore (unless he is sick) and we get to sleep all night! Letting him cry those first few nights was SO hard, but it was really the best thing for him to let him fall asleep on his own. Another suggestion from one of my friends that worked with her toddler (when bedtime snack didn't work) was to gradually give him less and less in his bottles when he would wake up, and then just stop giving them to him when he woke up, comfort him in other ways. She says it took a little while, but he now sleeps fine thru the night. Hope this helps...

Hi well mine goes to sleep at 9pm wiv bottle a story den she will wake up at 5 6 or 7am i think its coz he might be hungry but my mum had da same problem wiv my lil brova its just kids dey all different he will come around or try bed time at 9pm or make sure he had good food hour or 2 b4 his bottle
