My 4 year old and I have been working on potty training for a couple years now. We almost have #1 mastered. He has about 1 accident a week. But I cannot get him to go #2 on the toilet. The only time he does is when I catch him in the act. I've tried bribery, praise, sitting with hime. Any suggestions for a very stubborn child.

my sone had a tough time going #2 also. i finally got him to do it by taking him into the bathroom about 20 minutes after eating and letting him "brush" his teeth using his toothbrush but no paste while sitting on the potty. it gave him enough of a distraction that he was able to relax and go. and so that i didn't stress him out more i would clean off the bathroom counter or straighten up or brush my own teeth. the potty training thing can be tough but keep trying you'll find what works:)
