Try to convince her to use the potty by maybe a snack or toy or something that she wants. Try letting her use the potty when you are using it at the same time. She will find that interesting. Kids love to copy their parents. This is how we learn(from watching others). Good luck.

My daughter (now 10 months) showed an unterest in potty training at 7 months so we bought her the Fisher Price pink potty that plays music for about $20. We thought it was just for getting her used to the idea. She loved her potty and would clap when it played music for her. I would take her to the potty every time I had to go and later she would crawl to it if she had to go. She tells me in her own way when she thinks she needs to go...it used to be tugging on her pull-up beforehand and now she says 'po' (more like pah for potty). She was "home" potty trained within about a week...she wears pull-ups, occassionally has an accident in her pull-up (panties) at home and always uses the pull-up when we are out and about because she is too tiny to go on a public potty. We found the pull-ups to be the same price as diapers and when my husband tried to put a diaper on her she started crying. I know with my older daughter she started potty training at a year and was done by 18 months. We used pull-ups for out and about and there were potty training panties with a thicker section between the leg for at home starting off and then to cute panties. I recommend dresses for quick access...and less wet pants.

The three day training method! For three days keep your toddler in panties instead of diapers and remind them every 15 mins "honey, tell me if you need the potty, ok?" when they use the potty an instant reward (sticker, m&m, small toy) when they have an accident switch out the panties and say "ok lets try again! remember to tell me if you need the potty!" the key is staying on top of it! you cant be lax at all! Consistency = Results! I had my 18 month old trained in 48 hours (because I wanted her out of diapers before her brother was born!)

Being consistent and persistant is the key to toilet training. Many toddlers forget about going to the toilet, as they are having too much fun being busy and playing. So it is important for us as parents to remind them on a regular basis. Even if they say no, but encourage them anyway and say "hey lets just sit on the toilet and see what happens". A lot of the time they don't realise that they do need to go. And even if it is a little effort, give lots of praise and hugs. I found that a sticker or stamp chart helped all three of my girls when toilet training.
