How do you get a 3 year old to go poop in the potty, He has been urinating in the toilet for a couple weeks but will hide and poop his underwear and then want to be changed. He gets upset when he has the accidents and says he is sorry and that he is a big boy, ive tried special treats for when he goes in the toilet and made a sticker chart to earn a special toy, but nothing seems to work.. help

My son did that too so we made it "fun" by cleaning his underwear in the potty and saying "Bye Bye Poopy!" as we flushed it down. It took a couple times but then he wanted to do it in the potty so he could say bye bye...

i believe they master bowel control last! so he probably hasnt got the hang of controlling his bowels yet or realising he needs to go before he does it! just keep persisting and keep saying to him do you need the toilet as you may need to keep reminding him until he gets the hang of it himself! dont worry he will get there! good luck
