my son is 15 mths old and taking his diaper off when he goes to the bathroom. does this mean he is ready to potty train. and how is the best way to do it.

I would get a potty chair and have him sit on it when he takes his diaper off. Getting my boys to sit on the potty without clothes was a battle in itself.. Then make a big deal about it if he goes...keep with it and he will catch on! I tought my son to pee sitting down first and then when he was tall enough, daddy tought him how to stand up! Stickers worked good, when my boys did pee, they could put a sticker on the potty chair to decorate it! Good luck!

I am going to try the "Peter Potty Flushable Urinal". It was recommended on the Today show the other morning. I found it online at Target for $39.99. It easy to clean and I think it would be much easier for boys than the toilet. I also have heard to let them go with dad to learn how to stand.

I was told that when they start pulling off their diapers it means they are ready to potty train. I was told to put cherios in the toilete and make him aim for them. It turns the ordeal into a game.

Have you tried cherrios and telling him to try to sink them when he go pee pee.
and If he is tahing off his diaper when it is wet so other . then put him in trainers
when you are home and take him to the bath room every 15 mins. and before he goes to bed for a nap and when her gets up from a nap.
it take time but it all comes together. GOOD LUCK

make sure he really understands he might be takin it off just because it's interesting or he feels comfortable naked. They say boys are usually ready bout 30-35 months look for him to be able to pull his pants down tell you pee n poop n knows where it comes from..tells you when he has pooped or peed in his diaper n wants to be changed boys are very curious...my 17 month old trys to take his diaper off all the time n my second use to take it off every chance he got..

My son is 19 months, we had to make sure he understood what poop and pee meant before we started the potty training, and had to show him he could flush cherrios down the toilet, and said that is where poop and pee go. Boys are tricky though. I started just taking him to the bathroom everytime he needed to go and when he was comfortable with it showed him how to sit on the toilet, then let him flush himself.
Taking his diaper off could just him being ornrey. Maybe you told him not to do it, so hes just doing it anyways, just because you said no.
