Pre School Blues

Is the beginning of pre school always this hard and traumatizing? We just started Monday and he goes 3 days a week half days. He cries for me and cries on and off all day and it just breaks my heart!! I get so nervous just driving him there that I feel like I will throw up!! Of course I stone face it and never let him know how nervous I am. When I leave I cry in the car. We talk about it and I tell him how fun and wonderful school is but so far talking does no good. Will this get better if not I need medication for insanity!!

My two and half year old is in preschool and the first day he went was harder for me than it was for him, but when he realized that when I left he started to cry and he cries almost every morning when I drop him off, but for awhile he wasn't crying and now it doesn't last as long as it did when he first started. It gets better I promise, and he only goes three days a week so I know how you feel.

my 6 year old did in preschool *i'm a sahm so he had never really been away from me* i know he balled the whole first day but he got a little better each day and after like 2 weeks it was fine. i foundt he best thing was to tell him i'd be back when both hands on the clock were at 12 *he went form 9-noon* and when i dropped him off tell him bye i love you and LEAVE do not stick around to calm him it'll only make it worse
