My 2 and a half year old daughter will pee on the potty with no problems. But when it comes to pooing on the potty she downright refuses! She will go get a diaper and want it on when she has to poo. Any suggestions to get her to poo on the potty would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

my son did this and he had previously pooped on the potty a couple times with no problem so i don't know why he suddenly changed his mind. i ended up just taking away the diaper completely, even at night, and mixing a little prune juice in with some grape juice every day to encourage him. he shit himself on my carpet the first time, but after that he went in the toilet and now goes no problem. he did hold it for about 5 days though. it sucked at the time, but it was quick and nothing else had worked

My son was the same way, I put him in underwear all day and he would wait until I put his nightly diaper on to poop. I just kept putting him in his underwear and whenever he did poop on the potty I made a big deal, clapped, told him what a big boy he was, all that jazz. We did this for a couple weeks before he finally started going in the potty ever once in a while. Now he goes all the time. He did poop in his underwear a couple times, but he learned quickly how much he didn't like it because he would come tell me so I would change him. It worked for us, but I was also willing to deal with the clean up.
