My daughter is 20 months and has had some ears infections and colds. She is coughing all night very congested and not sleeping well. I have been using vick vapor rub and humidifier but not convinced it is helping her. Any suggestions on how to give her some relief.

saline and a snot sucker, lol the correct term for which i believe is an aspirator. Elevate the head of her bed if possible, and a warm bath will help as well.

I agree with karen, saline drops and prop her up. I also massage my boys back and chest to help loosen everything after a warm bath. I use a nice eucalyptus lotion. I also give honey but I do it along with warm lemon water.

use saline drops in her nose before she goes to sleep and prop her bed up a little bit so that things don't settle in her chest while she sleeps. when my son is sick with colds i always give him a couple of tsps of honey throughout the day for a few days. i find it really shortens the duration of the virus. at first he didn't like it so i would put it in his water but i recently found a local brand at the farmers market that he loves so now he'll take it right off the spoon but also loves it on toast.
