So any ladies out there who had false neg preg test results and then found out later you were?

Then again it could be stress related or just aging. I'm noticing mine are rather inconsistent and often times at least 32 days or longer when they used to be 26 days a few years ago. But definitely take another test in a week.

I had two false negative with my first child, the tests were a month apart performed at the doctors office. I went in because I wanted birth control but they wouldn't give it to me because I had hadn't had a period in awhile. After two false negatives two months in a row I went in again for a 3rd almost another month later. Was told if the test was negative again they would give me something, the test turned out to be positive! I was already 3 months pregnant and completely shocked! I would definitely redo the test in a week or so and go into the doctors office if it turns up negative again to have you blood tested.

If you catch later in your cycle it would take a little longer for hormone to show up on a preg test as where is you catch earlier it would show up around 4 weeks as its been growning for 2/3 weeks ..Leave another week and re do your test :D Good luck

I knew with 4/5 of my preg at least 10 days before the positive preg test, which came through at about 5.5/6 weeks. Although to be fair my SO reckons I think I'm pregnant every month so I don't actually "know" anything lol

with my first i never had a definite positive until i was about 9wks, and then had an ultrasound confirm. with my second i knew i was but the test was inconclusive, just like with the first. with both, i didn't get a definite positive until i went to a doctor and had a blood test done.

On Friday night I was at work i had the most painful stomach aches, after finishing my shift and having a sleep I still had the pain went to the hospital. They gave me a pregnancy test which came up neg so they gave me morphine and sent me on my way on Monday I went for a follow up appt at dr's they done another test which came up positive (I was shocked to say the least) when I went for my ultra sound I was 9 wks preggers... I now have my gorgeous 3 yr old son ryleigh :)

I had a negative pregnancy test when I was pregnant with my 2nd child. I finally went in to the doctor and said, "If I'm not pregnant, something is seriously wrong with me because I feel pretty yuck." They gave me another test, and it was definitely positive.

I wasnt sure if i was pregnant or not, on my 2nd child my pregnancy Test kept sayin negative or Not pregnant even went to the doctors telling me i wasnt BUT I REALLY WAS WHEN I WAS 3 MONTHS PREGNANT THATS WHEN MY TEST STARTED TO COME OUT POSITIVE. I NOW HAVE A CALM HAPPY HEALTHY BABY GIRL AT HOME WITH ME.

I had that happen to me 22 years ago. Comes out it was too early to test (how he just knew is beyond me since I was only like 1 week along) I finally had the blood test done when I was about 3 or 4 weeks to confirm it



@Ashly have you tried using any of the ovulation predictors? Don't know how good they are, but don't give up hope - with my 2nd pregnancy I had not had a cycle for like 18 months and became pregnant. Gave up after that one since I was told that I would need fertility treatments to become pregnant, 12 years later I had my 2nd son and 5 years after that my daughter.

I have been trying to get pregnant for a year now and nothing has happened. But I have not had my period for 6 months now and i have taken EPT tests and all negative so i dont know whats going on... but i have heard alot of people say they get negative tests and still end up pregnant.

Well AF appeared again yesterday morning nearly 10 days late! I wish I knew why because I am never late like that. Makes me nervous that if my cycles get wonky now, that it will be tricky trying to find out when I do ovulate.

I usually ovulate about a week late, with all 3 pregnancies I got negative HPTs. I knew I was pregnant every time, just wait a week and take another!

The best time to take a pregnancy test is in the morning when the hormones are the strongest.

Happened to me too. I got really bad vertigo at work. They took me to the ER and tested me for pregnancy which came up negative. 2 weeks later I just KNEW I was so I did an EPT and sure enough I was.

Because I don't have a regular cycle and we had been trying for 7 months already and it was discouraging, even though I thought I saw signs of being pregnant I just put it out of my mind for another week and then took another test first thing in the morning and it was positive. Maybe the negative the week before was because I did it in the evening?



At 9 weeks I had my first drs appt and they did a blood test as well and confirmed it, but I had already gotten a positive test at 6 or 7 weeks.

Okay , good to know...so hard not knowing what's happening and discouraging with these negatives. Did you find out on another EPT or did you go in for blood work?

My tests were negative until about 6 weeks pregnant. I don't know what that means, low levels of the placenta hormone? But yes, anyway. I ended up having a healthy baby boy.
