Your one month old has probably already been exposed, but sounds like your baby is getting some immunities from you. I wouldn't worry too much about that, already too late.

My daughter had that this time last year. How long has this been going on? Alice's doctor had me bring her in finally because she was still throwing up bile after a week. One shot, and it all went away. Did you call and ask if they have something they can give him?

When my daughter got gastro she couldnt keep down anything ( food or fluid) I gave her fluid in a syringe 10 mls at a time and this worked better than trying to give it to her as a drink. I also froze some gastrolyte and made it into small ice blocks and she sucked on those. When she got a bit better but still couldnt eat I gave her Ribenna to give her some sugar. It will pass soon, just make sure you wash your hands well every time you touch your little man, and when it is all over be sure to disinfect/wash all the toys he played with. Good Luck and just know that it doesn't last long :)

Try the BRAT diet.

Bananas, Rice (plain) Apple Sauce, Toast (dry)

That should settle his stomoach enough for fluids.

If that doesn't work you could also try popsicles/freezies.

are you breastfeeding? your one month old should for the most part be protected with your antibodies. My daughter was severly sick with the flu and vomiting everywhere when i came home with my 4 day old baby who i happened to have via c-sect. We were all fine. BLACKBERRIES HELP EASE THE BELLY ALSO!!

Quoting Veronica:

ultimate Aloe Juice - it will help boost her immune system, balance her ph, and promotes healing internally. Has helped us!!

PS the flavor my kids love is Kiwi-strawberry - they think they are drinking juice!

popsicles are one of the easiest ways to keep a young one from getting dehydrated. They are also easy on the tummy and children are less likely to balk at the idea of eating one....

good luck!

SEND HER TO ANOTHER HOUSE..you cant see all the germs and even if you follow right behind him and wipe everything with a clorox wipe, you are going to miss something...even him just breathing around her...if you walk away for a second he cuold go near her and you not even know it...when my 5 year old gets sick...my 18 month old goes somewhere else....she has a heart condition but at the same time..if she didnt have it...i dont want her to get sick....it is hard to take care of one sick baby, but when you make it 2 sick babies....it is even harder...i know..i have 3 girls....and try to get him to drink pedialyte or something like that...it is *like* koolaid so he shouldnt think much of it...good luck and take care of that beautiful little baby girl..!

maybe it would be best if your daughter does go to her grandmas just until you see improvement with your son, try icing pole, my daughter loves them when she is sick, and wont have anything esle

been there in the er feeling silly for bringing the kids in for dehydration we learned the a med syringe works wonder for squirting fluids in the mouth and for the best stuff use reg gatorade and mix it with water or 7 up this saved us from many trips in for an iv as for the baby she will probably get it the incubation time is higher than you think so even before he got sick he could have got her sick the only thing you can really do is hope and pray good luck you only need to worry unless he doesn't have a wet diaper in 12 hours and he has no tears or his eyes r sunken in or mouth is dry

Trust me on this one, last year all three of us got the flu and no matter how muchyou clean and how far away they usually get it anyways because they come into contact with the virus anyways, but even if he doesnt drink it all at once, see if he will eat jello, or popsicles, or see ifhe will sip juice from a spoon... i didthat and even though it may not be a bunch at one time, even if he takes a sip every min er so, at least he is getting something...
