I have a toddler that will be 3 in November and am due with baby #2 in January. Should I get a double stroller? I am not sure that my 3 year old will willingly sit in a stroller much longer.

I would go with a sling and a single stroller. Then you can either have 3 year old walking and bub in the stroller, or bub in the sling and 3 year old in the stroller. Cheaper too! Go with a mei tai or wrap type sling, much more comfy and long lasting than a baby bjorn type.

What about a sling for baby while it's small and just keep using the single one you have (I assume you already have a single) I 2.5 years between my boys and that's what I used. By the time the baby was getting too heavy my older one wasn't interested in being pushed around.

I've seen those strollers with a tiny platform at the back for the toddler to stand or sit on when they get tired of walking. That seems like a good idea to me, because then you don't have to push around a monstrously large stroller.
edit: Oh, that must be what Rachel's talking about! I guess it would depend on the toddler. It looks like a good idea, but I didn't realize it was such a heavy stroller.

My son was just about three when my daughter was born and I just had to have a sit and stand stroller. I never used it it was too heavy to push with both kids and my son refused to sit or stand on it. I would say just use a single stroller. But you really have to examine your personal situation and if your toddler will sit in a stroller
