this is going to sound mean but put the healthy food in front of her don't give her the option of having the tater tots or french fries she won't starve herself...this is going to be a battle of wills I watched my sister in law go through it with my nephew and potatoes.... and yes he did refuse to eat for one full day but by day two he was hungry and was willing to try something new.

I have the same problem! My daugher refuses to try anything new or even eat some things her 4 year old brother eats! It's so frustrating, I feel like I've failed both my kids with proper eating habits. I went too much by the book when feeding them as babies and now I'm definitely paying for it! My daughter will eat yogurt, fruits, baby oatmeal w/applesauce, raw carrots, toast, and of course snack foods: crackers (saltines and fish crackers), raisins, cookies, fruit snacks ... but nothing substantial and REAL. She use to eat hot dogs and cheese, but now refuses those as well. she won't try any meats, or even plain pasta. I am at a loss.. the doctor keeps telling me its a phase and she'll eventually grow out of it.. and that kids need to try things 15 times to really like it sometimes..but how can that be if I can't even get her to try it ONE TIME!?! I'm definitely in the same boat as you... so don't feel alone... and my daughter is 2 1/2! I can't wait to see what suggestions you get! :D
