My 2 yr son has just started climbing into his sisters crib this week (she is 11 months) I keep pulling him out, telling him no, and nothing is working. The part I am worried about is now he is very quietly at night crawling in her bed and going to sleep with her (he sleeps in toddler bed). He is very sweet with her during the day but like any brother he does have his moments. Has anybody delt with this? Is it safe??? I am concerned. It does not seem like they play in there he just tries to curl up with her and he gets so upset when I move him. Help I really dont know what to do.

Thanks for your help! we put them on a mattress together on the floor, so she would not fall off and he would not fall on top of her so far its working really well. Katie my only worry about the net was him just trying to break in and hurting her in the process, he is a very agile climber and not a lot can stop him, but thankyou for your suggestion :)

Have you thought about putting one of those safety nets over the top of the crib? Your 2 yr old can probably get through it, but maybe you could hear him trying to get it open and that would allow you some time to intervene before he gets in?

We just went through the same thing with our 2 1/2 yr old and 12 month old. My oldest was climbing into the bed at night...they too share a room...and just falling asleep with her sister. We told her every night not to do it and talked to her about it being dangerous but she continued to do it. We eventually just put our 12 month old in a toddler bed. I know its to early for your child but it worked for us. My youngest transitioned wonderfully. I am not really sure what else you could do since they share a room. Wish I could help and good luck!

I forgot to mention they share a room, and there is no room in our place to put either of them anywhere else (sadly I have tried)

I think it can cause a hazard having him crawl into her crib. I would recommend putting up one of those baby gates that have a completely smooth surface on her doorway this way he can't get in her room. The baby gates with the smooth surface having nothing for toddlers to grip on and help them climb over.
