Update: Upper Resiratory Infection

I took my four year old son to the E.R. last night sice his breathing became labored and he was turning blue. His oxygen level was at 87, his heart rate was in the 160's. After two doses of steroids and an hour treatment of Albuterol his oxygen came up to 95. He was diagnosed with an Upper Resiratory infection and was sent home with 4 medications including a nebulizer that he will be on for the next week. He's doing much better now but it was so hard to see him suffer that way!

it is one of the scariest things I've ever gone through in my life! It;s the second time we've gone through this, my youngest son had the exact samething happen as your son but when he was just two months old. i'm with u i hope none of our children have something like this again, thanks!

im glad to hear ur son is doing better i dont wish for any mother to see there child go through that i my self have been in the same position going in to my sons room n finding him blue n gasping for air only to start convulsing on ringing the ambulance i thought he was dead he was addmitted to hospital for 4 days with a respertry infection but it all ended well too. it is a scary thing i know only hope him n ur son dont have it again take care...
