My 28 month old daughter wants to wear panties but doesn't want to use the potty. Looking for some ideas/ hints to help with the wanting to use the potty. All of her friends that we see on a weekly basis are now using the potty all within the age group of 25 months to 3years so she knows that she should be using it.

I have heard that the naked potty method works wonders. My dauhgter is 27mo's and she wants to wear underwear too. But she associates them with a diaper and pees in them. With the naked potty method, well you get the idea.

Sounds like that is going to be a good motivator. My daughter wanted to wear panties around that age too. The first time I put her in them (explaining she needed to go in the toilet) she peed herself. After 1 day of all accidents I stopped. She just didn't want to go on the toilet. So I left the panties where she could see them and told her when she was ready to use the toilet she could have them. A few months later (and lots of asking to wear them but not giving in) she up and decided one day she wanted to wear them and go on the toilet. And she did. No problems whatsoever. She still has had a few accidents here and there and we have more problems now with her just not wanting to go in time but that's workable.
