What are some fun things I can do with my 26 month old daughter? We are so bored at home!

All she likes to do is watch TV and I am getting slightly annoyed with the Dora, Wonder Pets, Handy Manny, Mickey Mouse constant rotation! We read books but it doesn't hold her interest for too long. What are some games and activities we can play at home? I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can take her to the playground! She misses that... Anything will help! Thanks ladies!

my 2yr old and i got back into my scrapbooking stuff. I get to catch up on what i have missed and she loves the stickers and safety scissors, we even make her little books outta photos of things she likes like kitties, puppies, babies, etc, then put them on paper and string together with the ribbon from my stuff...

My two and a half year old daughter loves drawing and cutting - she will spend about an hour a day doing it! Also loves baking with mummy and also picture dominoes, a great hit!

You can make forts out of cushions, play act, color and draw, play some of the more kid friendly games like hide and seek and tag, depending on which area you're in, there may be malls that have indoor kid playtoy areas. (we have those in the Pacific NW of the USA)

Take her to play groups, or make up games at home, bowling, swimming, make your own playdoh, arts and crafts, dancing, baking, going to the cinema, sliding, skating. The possibilities are endless. Just use your imagination, kids, especially at this age are generally pretty easy to please. Ask her what she would like to do!

My daughter is the same age and I agree, winter is hard! Mine is really starting to enjoy songs with actions, like The Wheels on the Bus, Itsy Bitsy, Spider, I'm a Little Tea Pot and the like. Also a suitcase is full of dress up clothes is fun. Here is the title of a book with endless and simple activities for kids; The Toddler's Busy Book" by Trish Kuffner 365 creative games and activities to keep your 1 1/2 to 3 year old Busy.
Good Luck!
