what can i do to help my childs sleep schedule?

ive never really been able to find a schedule for my 17 month old daughter. ive tried so many of them and nothing works. she's up by 10 AM takes a nap between 1-2 PM and she's up til midnight sometimes later! any advice out there?

Hey my kids are 18 months old and do the exact same thing! The other day they were running around the house until 11pm and didn't want to sleep. Karen is right, youve got to wake her up at a certain time and stick to that same rountine until she gets used 2 it. Like today i got my kids up at about 7ish. Some days they would even sleep until 10 am, but then that just means late bedtimes. I want that to stop completely.

hello,

i had the same problem with my 16 month old son. I now have him sleeping through the night. He goes to bed at 7pm, wakes up at 7am (sometimes i have to wake him at 7am or it will throw his routine out and start problems again), he has a nap at 11am for 1 hour or as long as he likes as long as its not over 2 1/2 hours. It took about 3 days for him to get used to the new routine but now our life is so much easier. the 7 oclock rule is great.
