A thin paste of baking soda and water. Rub it on their gums with your finger. l did that for my 8 month old. lt took the pain away immediately. Just don't make it too thick or put on too much as they will gag on it if there is too much. Don't let that scare you, just keep it thin enough.

you could always try wetting one of baby's wash cloths putting it in the freezer for a while and giving it to baby to chew on...the cold is soothing on sore gums.

=) just buy a rubber teether or the teether with gel inside, sterilize and put it in the refrigerator and if it's cold enough, give it to your baby for him to bite it ^_^ the coldness will calm their gums.

Hi Sil, I'm not sure if this will help as even within my close group of family and friends we all preferred different things but there are these wonderful little disolvable dots available from the chemist (I think they're just called teething relief) which were gentle, easy to use & worked a treat for me.

But I know of other children who didn't respond as well to that and much preferred bonjela...it just depends whats right for you're little one.

Hope that helps!

:)
