What do you do for fun with your kids

i do basicly everythin you do, but i throw in family hikes, kayaking swimming and trips tot he zo. we also have a drive thru safari new my home town and we go there my daughter L O V E S animals !

I love finding their interests (which change everyday to every week to every month etc) and getting in with them while doing that activity. I love walking my kids to kinder and to childcare and playing games, reading books tc with them when they are at home. I love spending quality time with them all and try so hard to designate my time equally with them all, only Lexie requires more of my attention as she is just 5 going on 6 weeks of age. My older kids (4 and 5 year olds) love and know what I have to do with the baby and are not at all fussed, they even love to help me out which is great

Sweeping up the leaves and rolling in them in the garden - we have the perfect weather for it at the moment!
We also have family bake off's or cooking competitions where everybody makes a dish and we judge the best!

My son at that age loved music. He loved for us to set up a stage for him, so he could put shows on for us. He would charge us a penny each to get in to watch him. And as he got older and his little sister came along, and many cousins, my mother-in-law (best one in the world) would babysit them. And at the end of the week, when all of us parents would pick up the kids after work, we had to stay and watch the show that they put on that week. And we still had to pay a penny to see it - but it was great. Now when I look back at the videos of these plays I miss my kids being this small - they are now 20 and 18 and still both creative.

Singing, dancing, painting, drawing, cooking, going to the park, feeding the ducks, jumping in muddy puddles - loads of different things and sometimes we may just sit, cuddle and watch a good family film together :-)

My daughter also liked Mega Blocks and lego. She could spend a good while making something. Blow bubbles outside. Taking turns playing hairdresser

We love dance parties, coloring books, my 4 year old and I try to make up different stories while the twins nap. We go to the park, but it s getting too cold for that soon.

As for play doh... we have issues with that stuff... it never gets put back in the can and it always ends up smashed into the crevices of out furniture.

I used to take her to the park to play and swim. We went for walks and bike riding. We coloured and drew pictures. I bought cards and a bunch of board games, made popcorn and made it game night. We watched t.v.(cartoons) and movies together. My favorite was reading to her three times a day.

Just Be in the Moment with whatever you do with your child. A single Mom of 2, I pass by the pics of my boys at all ages in their life and can't help but feel...I missed it. Yes I miss that moment, and YES I didn't realish it enough for I almost forgot the feeling of that captured moment.

my children love to cook with me and share in stories, especially on the spot stories. They also love to play alsorts of games and do what ever they feel like, including travelling to the shop and parks etc. They are not fussy when it comes to outtings, as long as you find something that takes their interests and sparks their imagination like the zoo or beach etc.

my daughter LOVES all of the things that you mentioned, exept basketball and soccer because she hasn't really done those as she is a bit little. She does love playing with balls though, and thought it was great when she got to try throwing one through a hoop at a big kids-day-out thing that was organised at the park a few weeks ago. My dad recently made her a kitchen, which she loves - and makes things to cook out of play-doh. Painting and drawing, she just wants to do all the itme. And she is addicted to the trampoline and loves taking her bike or scooter to the park. Slides are also a big thing for her.

my son likes swimming and going to the water park and the playground. he likes dancing (its really just jumping) and he likes to play with his toy cars and trucks. he likes painting and drawing

Tons and tons of water play! Whether outside in a kiddie pool on the deck during the summer or inside with a sink or tub full of water. Usually keeps them entertained for quite a while!

My 17 month old likes riding in his wagon and being thrown up in the air. He loves visiting other people. We haven't gone to a playground yet, but I bet he'll enjoy the swings.

My daughter is 2, and we recently introduced finger painting, which she LOVES. She also likes playing with play-doh, helping plant flowers and veggies in the garden and watering and picking the veggies too, she is really into sliding on slides at the moment. She also likes to color, play in the bath/pool/sink, play pretend (cooking in her kitchen, playing with her dolls, ect.). I'm thinking of looking for a play doctor set, she was using a reciept from our grocery shopping yesterday as a bandage to put on mommy's "owies" yesterday. She also loves puzzles and book and cooking with mommy....and cleaning with mommy actually. She's very into helping everyone with what their doing. My daughter is into alot of activities....she also loves playing with her toy instruments and dancing around the living room singing along with music...I'm sure theyre are other things I'm leaving out, but I'll leave it there.

Play Camping - we use sheets, chairs, and even make our fire pit with bricks, fake wood, Christmas lights, red/orange/yellow tissue paper, etc.

Cooking - I give him bowls, plastic eggs, and wooden spoons - he pretends to cook or crack eggs! lol

Ice Painting - take markers and color a picture, then have your child take ice to make the colors smear

Pudding Painting - finger play fun and oh so yummy!

Car Racing - using cookie sheets that are ramped on building blocks, make cars race and you can create some great obstacle courses!

Sprinkler Fun on Hot Days!

We do community service projects together as well... we'll make cookies and take baskets to the senior citizens home and play some games and we've made cocoa jars for the neighbors.

Letter Collages - we concentrate on a letter a week and make collages; for example the letter "P", we'll go through picture books and stickers to find things that start with "P" and put them up on a big sheet of paper or poster board.

Sidewalk Chalk Drawing

Playing basketball, baseball, soccer, football, golf, etc.

He loves to ride his motorcycle.

We'll feed the ducks and fish at the lakes.

He loves playgrounds.

Trains, Trains and more train - wait! Did I say trains?! Yes, a trainaphobic here. He could play trains all day! The train table is "his" time, which gives me a break. :)

He loves to play "stuck in the pillows" - all you need are TON of pillows; he buries me in them and then wants me to break out! lol

We do music time - he plays drums, guitar, and piano.

We also do dance time - play fun music with motions!

We read books a LOT.

I do weekly "themes" with my son and base activities/games/crafts/stories around that theme.

we go to the park a lot. there are 2 parks just down the street so that's always the first place we go to for fun. My daughter likes to play with balls and thinks yoga and zumba are fun so we exercise together. lol. she likes to go for walks so we each push a stroller down the sidewalk with dolls in them. We have a dog, so she keeps my daughter pretty entertained too. I just got a season pass to a local children's theme park and plan on going as often as possible this summer =]

Thats some realy great ideas girls, Im yet to take my little man camping, my husband really wants to, so maybe we might just start with camping in the back yard, it was always fun when i did it as a kid.

We visit the library about once a week, and Toledo Bend Lake is right down the road, so I take them swimming often as well. If we go to the movies on certain days it is really cheap for kids so I try to do that with them too. I take them camping too on my days off. I try to find cheap or free things for them to do that will exercise their minds and bodies.

Sometimes we do scavenger hunts - go find a shoe, go find a cow, go find a book, etc. Sometimes I will build a fort for my girls to crawl into. They love to go watch big machinery so we find which roads are under construction and go park nearby. Once in a while we will play store - I give them a handful of quarters and we "buy" things from each other. Sometimes just planning an afternoon to look through the grocery store and take our sweet time can be good.

My Daughter absolutely loves to go for walks. We do that so much, through the bush trails by our house. It's so much fun! I am a freelance photographer, so she also loves to get her picture taken, and take some as well! Some of our favourite things to do is just play in the back yard and blow bubbles! Toddlers are endless hours of fun! :)

Ethan loves going to the library but at times can get quiet loud, parks and playgrounds are a everyday thing for us we take him to a different park or playground around our area every afternoon so he doesnt get bored just playing at the same one. We play with his cars and trucks and have races and stuff.

My two oldest boys love to help me with the baking and cooking in the kitchen, my youngest son is only 6 months old I play with his stuffed animals & other toys with him. My oldest loves to play football & baseball, I play ball with him everyday. But my boys and I love swimming in the pool they love that.

Pretty much the same as you. We also enjoy playgroup, cooking (they love making cupcakes) dressing up, reading, and singing songs. When the weathers good they love their paddling pool, swimming and going to the beach.
