We got our son a FIRE TRUCK bed! He digs it. Doesn't even get out of it in the morning until we go in his room and tell him it's time to get dressed. He's just under 2. He was more than ready for a bed. Me... not so much. For whatever reason, I got super emotional about it. Ah well, little dude's growing up!

We didn't do the toddler bed at all. Both my kids went straight to the twin bed and have had no problems. We just got a large baby gate to put in their doorway so they couldn't climb out. It has worked great!

we had a cot bed for our daughter so left her in that until she was 3 and then straight into a normal single bed and she has been fine in it

My son is 20 months and he was always scared of his crib. He started sleeping in a toddler bed at 16 months and he loves it. We haven't had any problems with him adjusting to his toddler bed.

They could easily break the crib supports by jumping on them. Sounds like they are ready for a toddler bed.

We went straight to a twin bed and had no issues!

My sister used crib netting first and ended up having problems later on when she transferred my nephew into his bed. We went right to the bed and our son adjusted very well. We told him to stay in his bed and call us when he wakes up...he has been in his bed for about 4 months and so far so good!

I never tried crib netting. I went straight to a toddler bed and my son adjusted very well. Just lays right down and stays there till he falls asleep and when he wakes up he comes right in to get me. :)
