What time do your 2 and 3 yr olds go to bed?

Wow! I can't believe how many hours your kids sleep! That's great! My dd must take after me (after all, she IS my mini-me!). I have never needed a lot of sleep, and my dd never sleeps more than 10-12 hours total.

My 2 year old sleeps about 12 hours at night (so, 7:30pm-7:30am) and then has a 2-3 hour nap in the early afternoon. If he gets less sleep than that he gets really wild and overtired, and it's hard to get him to go to sleep and it all spirals out of control. :( I JUST got him back on track from a week before Christmas.

@ amanda hanrahan - my son sleeps from about 11:30 - 1:30pm everyday and is in bed by 7pm and I won't usually hear from him again until 6:45/7am.

For those who's kids are in bed by 7pm do they still sleep during the day and what time do they wake up???



My 2yo will occassionally have a 1-2hr nap during the day my 3yo never has a day sleep. Both are up 6-6.15am every day

@Amanda - how late does your lo sleep? My dd will only sleep 9 hours at night; I don't think she needs more than that. I'd prefer 10-7 or 11-8 over 8-4! ;-)

My son goes to bed between 11-1am. I don't know why his sleep schedule is so far off. I was gone for a week, and dad is a night owl and then he got sick, so this is better. Up until a couple of days ago he was going to bed between 2-4am! I am envious of the rest of you!

BTW, my son is two.

my 3 8 an 11 all go to bed at 7pm three rooms i was the oldest of 5 an we all went to bed at 630pm an were allowed to read till 7 then lights out

I have a 2 yr od girl and a 3 yr old boy they go to bed about 9:30- 10:00. thats if we are lucky...

My dd will be 2 on the 25th and she has always gone to bed between 6 and 6:30. My ds is 5 and he goes to bed at 7-730ish and they both wake up between 7:30 and 8 and they both take a nap at 12:30 ds for about an hour and dd for about 3. We homeschool so it's not like they have to be up early I just need my no kid time at night.

My daughter is almost always up all night and she just started k3. its so hard to deal with because sometimes i feel bad for making her go to school when she just went to sleep an hour or two before her bus comes to pick her up.

Our kids seem to think there should be no bed time. DD is 5 on the 23rd of this month and DS is 3. We aim for 8:30 but I'm thinking it is a little bit late for them now that she is starting school and he will have to be up for preschool as I work three days a week. Maybe 7:30 would be better.

My son has bedtime between 6pm and 6.30pm, he has no naps in the day and sleeps right through to 7.30/8am! Boy am I glad he loves his sleep!

We have been putting my 25 month-old to bed between 7-8, but for the past few weeks he seems to need bedtime at 6 or 6:30.

Usually he's up between 7-9am, and then takes a 2-4 hour nap at 11:30 am.

I'm so jealous of all of you...my son is turning 3 next week and still does not fall asleep until 9:30 - 10:00. He hardly will take a nap anymore in the afternoon and if he does it's usually late (1-3 pm) My two girls before him where the same way...they are like energizer bunnies...they go all day and then he's up around 7:30 Am

my daughter goes to bed anytime between 8-9 depending on how cranky she is, we find it easier to put her to bed at the same time as her older brother then there is no fighting. Sort of sucks for her brother as he is almost 11 but he has to be up by 6:30 on school morning and so can't stay up any later.

My son (2yr 10mo) currently goes to bed at 7:30pm and wakes up between 6 and 7am. He no longer naps, so he needed the extra sleep.
At 2yrs, he was going to bed between 8:30 and 9pm and was having 1.5-2hr naps. When he hit 2.5, we cut out the naps and moved bedtime back to 7:30pm :)
