What tips can you give for weaning my toddler from breastfeeding?

I can't seem to get him to drink cow's milk, but he's a pretty good eater otherwise. He really likes to breastfeed as his way of getting to sleep, but I'm ready for this to end.

When my son moved from formula to cow's milk he refused, but didn't ant the formula anymore either. So for a year he drank strawberry milk. When he turned two we switched him from whole milk to skim milk.Turned out he didn't like the whole milk, so now he drinks regular milk, as long as it is 1% or skim.

If he has a healthy diet, you can wean from breast to water...there is nothing magical or medicinal about cows milk. Human milk is for human babies. As for the weaning process, kellymom.com has some information that may be helpful to you. Good luck and take it slow.

He may not like the taste of cow milk as hes used to your milk so may have to mix it for awhile has he used a sippy cup may want to skip strait to a sippy cup. Its going to be hard for a bit as he will cry good luck
