Mine are home everyday together doing homeschool, so I think they just get tired of each other, and bored........... quiet alone time, chores, and activities help! Having a friend over for them to play with for a while helps destract them from being annoyed with each other as well! Just like you and I sometimes need a break from certain people.....And giving them something productive to do together is a good way for them to actually be together and get along well! Summer is coming, so they will be able to get outside too, and that helps! But, we live in Oregon, so we don't get much outside time most of the year.... :o)
