Yes, to Jennifer.. my daughters birthday was Easter Sunday..so I had it the Saturday...so that, I wouldn't inconvenience anyone or make them feel obligated..wanted it to be a success..

yeah just go whats the big deal mothers day is really just commercial anyway if you really feel like you'll miss out on somthing tell your kids or partner you want your mothers day the next week the upside of that is everything will be cheaper and resturants less crowded

I would go for the child but personally my sons birthday was on easter this year but we had a party a couple days before so he could have his day and then we had easter as a family holiday.

Yes. You can easily divide the day between Mommy's Day things and the birthday party.

I would not do my childs birthday on a holiday just because i think that most of the people would not go i would do it another day like the next weekend. if you want to spend time with family and friends then why do a party when most of your "friends" may not make it. saying that i would show up early and stay for a while then go. which is what some will do but again you dont get to enjoy the whole day with friends and family. only thoes that dont have any where eles to go will hang around for the whole celebration.

My son's birthday is on a friday and I always had the party on the saturday's since its more convient for most people and so more people will show but since they didn't want to do that i would go if you dont have better planes and if u do u could at least show up...i guess it depends on how close the family member is

Please go. I am a mother's day baby. And no one ever came to my parties. Please go and let your child have a blast. And enjoy being with the other moms.

I don't. my twins were born near Halloween and my youngest was born on Memorial Day weekend. birthdays are tricky. People make plans and won't/can't come celebrate with us. it's frustrating actually.

Yes, specially since a child's birthday party is not all day. If its an all day event then attend the party for 2-3 hours and then celebrate Mother's Day with your immediate family.
