23 month old with increasingly worse tantrums

I have a 23 month old daughter who has started throwing tantrums they use to not be that bad and have steadily gotten worse. A simple timeout in her room for a couple of minutes usually would correct the issue, but now they can last a long time. This last one lasted an hour. They never happen in public only at home. I dont know what to do. I am also 7 days away from giving birth to our second daughter and am at my wits end. Please help.

this book will help with tantrums and it is a a good resource for understanding toddlers, I am in the same boat as you but my daughter is 15 months old and I am due to deliver any day now . Havery Karps , M.D. the happiest toddler on the block the new way to stop daily battle of wills and raise a secure and well behaved one to four year old there is also a dvd by the doctor that is helpful it has the same title
