My 18 month old baby is not eating well. Is this a normal phase?

It is extremely normal. Up until 1 year your child does the largest amount of growing they ever will, which means they will eat more as they need the extra! However, as they get to somewhere between 14-20 months they usually slow down on eating! I have a dayhome with 6 kids plus my own all under 2 and they all did it! When I did research the goal is to get them to eat 1 good meal a day (most seem to have one preference!) and offer 3 meals and 2-3 snacks of healthy options in a kid friendly way! One that is always a favourite is cauliflower macaroni and cheese and that way I know they have some vegetable, dairy and carbs, (and often I put chicken, ham, etc.. in too and make it more of a casserole)! Also, aim for them to get the proper nutrients per week not per day, such as if one day they only eat fruit, one day more dairy, one day more carbs, don't worry, just focus on balancing it out over the week! It will pass and one day we won't be able to keep enough food in the cupboards to feed them :)

Yes, your baby not eating well is normal. All my kids between 1 and 2 go threw a time of not eating.

My Son is 28 months old and has been going through the picky eating stage or soe days not wanting to eat at all... Moms that I have talked to have told me that yes it is a stage that they are going thtough..... I wouldn't be too worried about your baby not eating well unless you see them losing alot of weight drastically. You may want to see your pediatrician for vitamins.

I've been dealing with the same with my 15 month old. The doctor and all of my friends say this is normal. As a mom it's a little freightening but they aren't going to starve ;P
