For the past 2 months my son has been pinching. And not just a little pinch, he is using his finger nails and doing it as hard as he possibly can. I have done everything I can think of to stop it without having to hit him for it. And today was the last straw, he has officially drawn blood on my lip and nose. I am at a loss as to what to do. I am over this "phase" Do any of y'all have any ideas or tips? Have you had this problem? How did you even begin to tackle it? Thanks in advanced!

I would tell him in a firm voice that if he pinches me again I will pinch him back, and then follow through on it, obviously not hard enough to cause a bruise or make him cry out or anything, just enough to emphasize that it's not a pleasant feeling. My son was pinched a lot by a friends child so she smacked his hand and he didn't do it again.

My son went through it for about a month. He pinched my neighbor in Walmart to the point of blood shed and tears. I pinched him back. Sounds horrible but I did. I asked him if he liked how that felt and he puckered his lip. I didn't do it as hard as he did my friend, but enough to make my point. Some people try timeouts, but my son looked at me like I was crazy for putting him in timeout.
