3yr old pooping and peeing in his bedroom floor.

My three yr old potty trained little boy will poop and pee in his bedroom, He doesnt do it anywhere else in the house he waits until its bedtime and will get up and poop in the floor, , this has been going on for well over 6mths we have tried everything we have tried putting him in timeout, making him sit on potty before going to bed , making him pick up the poop and putting it in the potty we have even tried putting a potty in his room and he still goes in the floor when it first started he would play in it and we would have to give him a 2nd bath he also shares a room with his little brother and he has had him play in it (Nasty i know) His room smells so bad because of it and i just dont know what to do. Any ideas? Oh he is also not talking he says common words but thats about it, Do you think that the two could be linked or something?

We have tried the whole snack thing as well.. No luck

Also he is going to a neurologist in about a week. Im was just trying to get opions on what everyone else thought it may be.

Seeing as how he has communication problems too I would say you should talk this over with your doctor there could be something else going on here then just rebellion

I think you definitely need some help if this has been going on for 6 months. You have tried everything that I would have suggested. I do think it is a discipline issue since he probably knows that this is wrong. Every child responds differently to discipline and you have to find out what works for your son. The one thing I didn't see was loss of privilege or you could even have a snack that he could look forward to or something else that he could get if he doesn't poop on the floor.
