i agree i say let him run around without pants or a diaper as long as you can handle cleaning up a few messes but it seemed to work also try giving a sticker as a reward when he goes in the potty

Try searching Amazon.com for the DVD "Potty Power". It worked for me and my son loves it! He still watches it (he's 3 now and potty trained when he was 2.5).

I bought a potty around 20 months. I left it in the bathroom and let him sit on it whenever I would use the bathroom. He sat on it here and there at first and then as he was closer to two I started him potting. I got a singing potty and he thought it was awesome. I also let him pick out his own "big boy underwear." This was a great motivater, bc I didn't buy them for him until he really started going. Let him hang around the house naked, or underwear off. give him a drink and ask him about 15 mintues later...sit him on the potty..read his favorite books. It takes time, patience and consistency. He never did the pull up thing ( its just another version of diapers and never wears them at night. Good luck...

if your tot can communicate sayin poo or wee and tell u when he has done it they r ready to toilet train dont use pullups they onley confuse the tot my son is 20 months and showed more interest in the toilet than the potty i think because he sees mum and dad use it

hi, i put a plastic mat down on the floor outside the bathroom, with the potty on, i said to my son what it was for and to tell me everytime he could remember!, when he needed the toilet.
everytime he did i would take him up to the potty. After a while he kept saying in time.
Then once he was getting it i would let him have no nappy on for a few mins, this got longer the better he got.
I never used pull ups!!! In the end he would goto the potty himself.
Good luck, and remember it doesn't happen over night!!!!
