Give a mr clean magic eraser a try. I don't know if it will but those things are godly and work on just about everything.

Have you ever heard of Melaleuca? They have a cleaning product called sol-u-mel that's supposed to take off permanent marker. I honestly have never needed to see if it actually does, but you might want to give it a try. You can go to their site Melaleuca.com and order it from there. All their other products have worked excellent for me, so this should too.

I have red sharpie on my wall and the Mr. Clean magic eraser didn't work nor did nail polish remover, windex or good ol soap and water. The paint around it seems to be coming off more than the marker. I will try bleach and lemon juice next... any other solutions?

I'm having the same problem with our new apartment, it came with some sharpee marks on a door. Nothing has worked thus far.

I just tried the nail polish remover and it is coming off. ^.^ Yay.

Edit: it did mildly strip the paint, but (on my door at least) it isn't that noticeable. I also used Q tips.

Paint over it??? i spent the whole day painting my little girls room baby pink only to have her come in the very next day and write all over the wall with permanent pen, it was only emulsion on my wall so it wasnt waterproof which left me very little option except painting over it??

Lemon juice? Try googling Perm marker off leather. If the options work on leather, they should on paint..... Not got any spare paint at all?! Darn kids.....
