My daughter is going to be 4 in April. Yes, I know most people do not agree w/ co-sleeping but it is what it is. What is a gentle yet effective way to put your children in their own bed?????

Dear Heather,

I found helpful talking to my 3 and half toddler about how big girls sleep in their own bed and placing all her stuffed animals ("friends" or favorite toys) around her bed and made it sound like she was not going to be sleeping alone but with all of her friends. I offered her to leave her room's door open in case she needed me and I could hear her. However, this does not mean that it is going to be easy, it took me a long time to finally get her in sleeping in her own bed. Best of luck !
