My son has not really been able to fall asleep on his own at night. I have had to rock him for the most part. I've tried the cry it out methods but there are so many things that have disrupted that process (e.g., teething) which causes you to continuously start all over. I'm tired of starting over. I would like to find a sleep technique that can stick. Additionally, he has started waking up at last once a night in the past two weeks.
Most of what I've read out there is geared towards starting them early like at 6 months or so. Are there any techniques for kids 1 and up? Techniques that incorporate kids climbing out of cribs, wanting to run around and play, etc. would be great! Let me know if you have any suggestions on books I can read or things you've tried that were successful.
