at what age did everyone give your baby a cover and pillow in bed?

My daughter has always had a small blanket because she would wiggle out of being swaddled (she hated it!) Eventually, I just tucked the sides around her and she was fine. When my daughter was about 10 months, she started sleeping with a small bear and at 13 months, I made her a small pillow out of a receiving blanket because she kept piling her blanket up and putting her head on it like a pillow.

All of my children have had a cover in their cot since birth, and a pillow from 6 months. However my boys who are youngest, are both thrashers, so are rarely under the covers or have their heads on pillows. Consequently, they are wrapped up like eskimo's in winter to keep them warm. lol.

my daughter has had a full size pillow since about 7 months. and she has had a throw size blanket since about 5 months. she moves around a lot at night when she is asleep but she has never had any trouble. i always use the softer type blankets though. they seem to be more of a comfort and without her pillow and blanket she wont sleep. it depends more on if you feel that your child is ready for a pillow and blanket and if you decide to give them one just keep an eye on them until you know they are safe with them.

My son had a cot quilt from 3 months old, and never had any problems. I just made sure it was tucked in tightly. He moved up to a proper bed a couple of months ago when he turned 18 months, and we got him a flat pillow. He loved the pillow as he has been using his favourite dog teddy since he was about 5 months old lol !

I started giving my daughter a pillow in her bed when she was about 6 months old. She's had a blanket ever since she was born. A small fuzzy blanket at first, then a throw blanket size when she got about 1. It was her comfort thing and she's had a blanket ever since. She started sleeping in a toddler bed around 15 months and has had a regular sized pillow and blanket since. She is now almost 2.

Yes a good point to make when getting them their first pillow, is you can buy a toddler pillow. It is smaller and flatter than a normal pillow, therefore safer. And if you mean a cover for a quilt, I wouldnt recommend one until over 2 years as they can get tangled up in them. Blankets and comforter are better.

My daughter had blankets from she was born until she went into a big bed (about 18 months) then I got her a duvet. The blankets were cotton celluar like the hospital had used on her in SCBU. She had a pillow from about a year, it is shaped like a frog and made for kids, not as plump as a pillow but gives them a bit of support.

We used baby sleeping bags until about 9 months in their cots but they learned to walk and so would fall over in their cots so we ditched the sleeping bags and they had blankets.
The twins figured out how to climb out of their cots and by 17mnths old so went into full beds with two pillows with cases and a quilt with covers then.

At 12 months I gave my son a small blanket, they don't need anything to big. He usually is all over the place in his crib so it doesn't always stay on him but it's there if he wants it. I gave him a flat pillow at around 2 He's 2 and 1/2 and he's never used it.
My son is 3 1/2 and still doesn't use covers. He tosses and turns so much that he gets too twisted up in them. One night I checked on him and the sheet had wrapped around his neck so I stopped using them. He has had a pillow though since he was 2 years old. I bought him one when he moved to his big boy bed. I bought the flattest pillow I could find. I don't think a thick one is healthy for their posture.

My son has had a pillow and blanket in his crib ever since he was about 9 months old! I had this throw that my friend gave me for Christmas a few years ago, he developed an attachment to it. He will not sleep without it!

My kids never had a pillow until about 2 and a half years. But my daughter would use her soft toy puppy as a pillow from about 2 years of age lol. Im not sure what you mean by cover (quilt or doona maybe?) if so then not until about 18 months old.
