Hey there, I'm looking for birthday ideas for my 2 year old son. Gift ideas, party ideas, theme ideas. We went with the Disney Pixar's Cars theme last year, so that's out of the question this year. Limited budget, keep that in mind.

Here's some things my son likes:
The outdoors.
Anything that makes noise.
Tractors.

Basically, he's an outdoorsy type of kid, he's just like his father. His father is a lobsterman, and he had an idea to do like, a nautical theme for Tyler's birthday. What do you think? His father was thinking about getting a bunch of nautical theme stuff, and getting a net or something from work and making something to hang up in Tyler's bedroom. If you like this idea, do you know of anywhere online I can find nautical-themed items?

Second idea, John Deere. His father is a redneck at heart and loves the outdoors more than life itself. I've found so many John Deere things we could get not only for Tyler, but for party items as well. But the only thing I can't seem to find, is bedding that would fit a toddler bed. Any ideas??

I'm open to any suggestions, or opinions. I need help on this ladies!! His birthday is coming right up, October 24th so I need to get goin!!! =] Please send me an email on my Circle of Moms account!!

For my sons 2nd b'day, I'm going to rent a moon bounce and have a little b-b-q at a park. That way kids of all ages who go will have fun either at the park or in the moon bounce. And the parents will find something to do.

I did ice cream cup cakes at that age...you can always go to the dollar store and get stuff to put on the top of the cupcakes...tractors, animals, ect...at that age you really dont need to do to much as long as you are with your friends and family..

I don't know how big of a party you are looking to do if there's going to be a lot of kids or not. For my son's 2nd Birthday I did a pizza party with a seseme st. cake. My son didn't have any little friends yet so it was just me his dad and grandparents. At this age I don't think the party needs to be to elaborate especially if money is tight.
As for gifts if he likes the outdoors they have some cute kid tents at toys r us (some more durable than others check reviews.) Good luck:)
