My daughter is going to be turning 2 and I'm having trouble with her biting. She bites her older brother, how can I get her to stop? I do give her time outs but she gets done and will bite again.

Working in child care with children who bite I have found only one thing that helps. Put a bib on her - preferrably one she can't take off - and everytime she leans in to bite, but the bib in her mouth so that she can bite the bib instead. She may be cutting teeth and may need that pressure on her teeth. So it's okay for her to bite - it's just not okay for her to bite people. It will take a while, but eventually she will grab the bib when she needs to bite. If you don't want to put a bib on her, you could try keeping a certain stuffed animal around her or a "lovie."

Let him bite her back. It sounds horendous but it may help. Just explain to him it is a one time thing to see if she gets the point that it hurts him.
