I have a three year old daughter who loves books, we read Dora and Pinkalicious constantly! For her birthday she got the book Olivia and this seems to be her new favorite! I am an Education major and I love children's books, just wondering what books you and your children love to read!

I have such great memories of reading "The Very Hungry Caterpiller" as a child! My Mom got it for us this past Christmas...he liked it for about a month and then started tearing it apart, so I put it away for now. And, oh how I can not wait to read some classics to him. I absolutely loved the Little House on The Prairie series and always said if I had a boy he would at least read the first book "Little House in the Big Wood" and then decide if it wasn't "boy enough" for him. IAnd, I too love Dr Seus, but the little guy wont have those yet!!

Lama Lama Red Pajama is a book my kids and I can relate to and enjoy reading. I also love the way the Dr Suess books roll off my tonge

We read those, and they love them. (I have a 7 and a 4 year old, both girls) My 4 year old also LOVES "Fairy Colors" by Caroline Repchuk. But, I also read them the classics... Tolken, Jane Austen, etc. So, my girls get a variety of levels.

I LOVE the How do dinosaurs... books! I am also a huge Eric Carl fan, my daughter not so much, but I'm hoping someday she will like those as much as me! Thanks for the book ideas Dawn!

Oh, and if you have not already seen this book....I love it just for the ingenious "illustrations". I forget the author but the name of the book is: "There is a Cow in the Cabbage Patch". So cute!!

My 18 month old son LOVES books!! He tends to be quite picky sometimes and will let me know immediately when he doesn't like a book, but when he likes one, oh beware....we are reading it over and over and over again!! Because I never know what he will like, I checkout about 20 books at a time from the library and then renew to the max!!! His favorites this month (ha, ha) are a series by Jane Yolan and Mark Tegue: "How Do Dinosaurs...... Learn Their Colors; Clean Their Room; Eat Their Food". I have also had success with the Rookie Toddler series: "Can You Find Colors", "Brush, Brush, Brush". I find my son loves anything with an interesting and catchy prose and realistic pictures. I personally love Eric Carle, but alas, not my son's favorites. Funny, my MIL just brought home one of those GIGANTIC books of The Three Little Pigs and he just loves for me to read it using my "Big Bad Wolf" voice!!! I am such a believer in reading, and an avid reader myself....this is the one thing I wanted to instill on my children and it seems he has followed...he will already go into his room and "read" by himself....proud moments!!!
