Carseat upgrade. Need suggestions for 20 lbs +

I love my BRITAX SEATS!!! I have a Roundabout (smallest convertable) a Marathon and 2 Regents. Love them all!

Unless your child is very tall for their age then I think the best bang for the buck is the BRITAX MARATHON. It will get you through til 65 lbs & 49 inches tall! It is a breeze to install and uninstall with LATCH or car seatbelts.

The Roundabout will work nicely for a smaller car but your child will outgrow it much sooner (40lbs 40in)

The Regent is a great seat that would last forever ( 80lbs & 53in) but a pain in the butt to install and was great for my Ford Expedition but I'm not loving it in my Honda CRV. We also bought one for my mom's car (Chevy Blazer) because she babysits often and it was hard to move around and install during my pregnancy with my second child.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BRITAX MARATHON. I have purchased several other brands in an effort to save money but have ended up spending more in the end when I am not happy with the seat and end up giving away or donating.

if you want a lot of bang for your buck!!! i have a Alpha Omega from Babies r Us and it is wonderful!!! and it grows with the child!!!

I have 2 safety 1st omega elite convertable car seats. they are very similar to the eddie bauer car seats. I found them at www.babyage.com. a bit less expensive than others. we love them. we have had absolutely no problems with instalation or everyday use. highly recommended.

Britax Marathon. Ours is wonderful, lasts to 80 lbs I think, is the safest on the market and holds up to a lot of abuse from us as we have 2 cars but one carseat so are constantly moving it from one to the other. Its very easy to move in and out and super comfy for our 3 year old. I highly recommend the Britax brand.

I also love my Britax Boulevard. My son is 22 months and 32 lbs and he is very comfortable in. We just drove 16 hours from CA to Oregon and he travelled really good and he sleeps well in it. We use the latches easily in our new Honda and the starps in our older Durango with no latch system and even with no latches the straps kepp it in place. When I was looking Consumer reports rated these the best.

We uses the Graco ComfortSport for both of our girls. Both of my girls love theirs. The latch and seatbelt use are very easy. It goes to 40 pounds front facing. A nice mid-grade price that had great ratings- my husband researched for hours!

Hi! We LOVE our Britax Boulevard. It has the "True Side Impact" protection head rest (kinda like wings by her head). It is actually very easy to LATCH in and out. Our daughter has used it for 6 months now, we just recently faced her forward and it has worked great both directions. I can't say enough about how easy it is to adjust the strap height and secure her in! Good Luck!

yes i have a britax marathon i love it! It Rear faces to 33 pounds I believe? and then overall goes to 65 pounds. it's expensive though. they were having some sale at target selling it for like 50 bucks after I already bought mine for 250ish :-\

We also have and really like our Britax Marathon. We are able to use a coupon with a sale price for a decent discount at BRU about a year ago. My only complaint is that the cover (ours is the platinum) it is not machine washable. I didn't think this would be a problem a year ago, but it has been frustrating at times. The fabric cleans up really well, but it is just the time to wash and hang dry the cover that is annoying.

Britax, Britax, Britax!!! We have 2, one for my 4 year old and one for my 2 year old. We have a 2004 Durango with the latches in the seats plus the one hooked into the floor. Once they're in, they aren't going ANYWHERE!!! When I tighten then, I put my knee in the seat and push as hard as I can while pulling on the straps. I did a lot of research on car seats before I purchased one. After using the first Britax for a year, we bought a second one when my youngest was ready to graduate from the infant seat. Both kids fall asleep in them all the time.

I have a Britax (Ithink that is how it is spelled) and I love it she can sleep easily in it too. I don't take it in and out and have an old car so no latch so I can't help you there. But it really is nice. I have the smaller version because I have a small car. Good uck!

We have two Eddie Beaur carseats...one for a 1 year old and one for a three year old. They are both convertible,so the go to 80lbs I think. We love them! Very east to latch/unlatch. Good luck!
