my daughter is 3. and we bond a lot. i always take time to play with her. she's used to seeing me all day. she tends to check on me from time to time if i'm leaving or not. everytime she doesn't see me around, even when i'm in the bathroom or doing the laundry, she cries and yells and stats to throw things at anybody...
what should i do with this? how can i tell her to stop this behavior?

never never leave without telling her goodbye .. even if she will start crying. when you get home always tell her I came back home .I will always come home cause I love you.

This is quite common for little girls. The best way to deal with this is to leave her more often for a short while so she grasps the idea that mummy is going out but she comes back. As a pre school teacher I have seen this a lot, the child cries for the mother until the mother is out of sight and then they stop and manage very well. Sometimes the child feels as if the mother expects them to cry when they leave and the child conforms to this. Get down on to her level and tell her that you are going out for a short while and that you will be back soon. Tell her you want her to be a big girl now and you would like to see a big smile. At first she will cry just ignore it and leave. Try to do this regularly and when she realises that you are coming back for her she will relax and become bored with making a play for you. Believe me you are doing her no harm and most mums that I deal with feel worse than the child.
