Carissa, Bravery has nothing to do with it, insanity might though. Just kidding. I am sure you love your daughter to death....who couldn't love kids? And I understand that in daycare "centers" kids get lost in the numbers and their care is not what it could be in a home setting, not to say that all centers are bad. We strive to at Stacy's Funhouse to co-exist with one another. After all, that is what life is all about. Everyone in my home has the same right to feel safe, protected and LOVED. I have the best group of parents and they all have told me endless times that they fully appreciate what I do. I look at my job as a calling and I take it very seriously at that. We love little people...bring 'em on!

Hey Carissa, Thank you for you words. I believe whether a parent can stay home or not being a parent is being brave, so i am sure you are a wonderful mother no matter what. I will have to say though i know that working in a daycare as apose to having or working for a dayhome are two very different things. I ran my own dayhome years ago to stay home and raise my first two girls and did this for 7 years i eventually went on to work in a daycare facility, and the abuse that i saw there would be anough to shock the lot of you, so i left, but not until i reported the incidents. I think then when you run your own dayhome you take more pride in the children that come into your home, lets face word of mouth thats how the business industry goes around, but when there is a daycare and so many people that are involved in it, it's like they don't care about what is actually happening around them. Oh by the way that facility that i was working at did get shut down...thank the little children, they are a blessing from god!

I just have to say that you two are brave!!!!! I love my daughter dearly, but I don't think I could stay home all day and take care of 4-5 kids just like her all day long! So thank you for doing what you do! We all appreciate it. I take my daughter to a home daycare, and I wouldn't have it any other way....Unless I could be a stay-at-home mom!

Our family has been totally blessed with all of the kids that have been through our doors. We tell everyone that they all have the same right to feel safe and loved at our house and I truly believe that they do. I have such a good group of kids.

Hey there Stacy, thank you for responding as a dayhome provider. I couldn't ask for anymore then to know that the children that come into my home are loved just as much as my own.

I provide daycare in my home as well, in Ohio. Nice to meet someone else doing the same thing as I am. I can't think of a more rewarding job. Good luck with your business and have fun with it.
