diaper cakes toddlers???

i like making diaper cakes and alot of my friends have kids still in diapers... my one friends son is turning two... should i make a diaper cake for a 2 year old? or is that silly... of course id be getting him a toy too. what do you think?

It would depend mainly on if you know for certain that he is still in diapers - most children just turning 2 would be. But also you would need to know if they use cloth or disposables. IF the answer is disposables I'd say go for it, diaper cakes are cute AND they would get used! But if the answer is cloth I'd say don't waste your time or money! My daughter is 14 months and we've been using the same 30 diapers we started with when she was almost a month old, to me more diapers would just be silly especially when thoughts of potty training are already dancing in my head! But disposables are a whole different ballgame since you can only use them once!

I saw one that was disposables at a 2 yr bday party, tied with ribbon and a small toy was the "topper". Mom was SO thankful and baby girl thought is was funny. she pretended to eat the cake, and was a giggle box and loved it.
