Hey Ladies! I am beginning to research and plan a trip to Disney World for May 2010. My Boy will be 3 years and 5 months. I am just looking for feedback. Have any of you taken a 3 year old to Disney? What was your experience, and would you have any suggestions on a how to make this the best trip with my favorite boy, while keeping it easy breezy? Where did you stay? How long did you stay, what was your favorite moment?

Thanks Ladies!!! :)

Yea, Grandmom and PopPop will be going on the trip as well. There will be 3 of us adults to keep him occupied. Did you find that your son was afraid of any of the rides? Did you have any trouble getting him on rides? How about the characters, was he afraid of the characters? We will probably staying at a resort in the park so I guess that will benefit us. I believe we were looking to go around April/May (excluding Spring Break week)

We did a disney trip when my son was three. We went with my parents and my brother and his girlfriend. having a group of people was help ful beacuse there were rides my son couldnt go on, but adults wanted two. However we all had our likes for rides so who ever didnt like that type of ride took the little one to kiddie land. this made for a fun trip for all. Also depending on how tall your son is by then he may even be able to go on many of the rides. We asked and they let my son go on some of the adult rides. (depending on the ride) We had rented a five bedroom house with a pool, we had plenty of space for kids to run and burn off energy before and after the parks. Also while waiting for people to get ready we had tv and room to entertain without little one being in the way. We stayed for 8 days. The trip was a success and would do it again.

Also, I would plan the trip if possible before school is out around the country for the summer. We went the week after Labor Day, and there was no WAITING in lines for rides, etc. Much easier to not wait in lines with a toddler!

I took my son to Disney World last August when he was 2. We brought Nana. We did a park during the morning/afternoon. If our son was too tired after his nap in the late afternoon, he stayed at the condo with nana. I would suggest breaking up the day if he still takes naps. A definite MUST is a meal with the characters. We did breakfast (buffet, yummy) with the Disney Characters. You have to reserve in advance, and reservations go fast. We had a free condo from a family member, but I've heard it's much easier to stay at a Disney Resort.
