You could have them make their own musical instruments out of house hold items and then have a parade. It is fun for all ages and you knock out games and party favors with one stone.

Pinata! My son and his friends LOVED it. We just put it on the ground instead of hanging it. Then they took turns hitting it.....while everyone else stood well back!!

I had my daughter's birthday party at the park that way all the kids could go play whatever they wanted to. and then when it got time for presents and cake and all the other things we just rounded them up.
