Hiya my little girl is 2yr 4 month and still has bottle of milk before bed she drinks juice out of beaker/cup in day but always wants her bottle on night and wont drink out of anything else also any ideas how 2 stop the milk alltogether on a night as shes nearly potty traned in the day so nights will be next so need to try and stop that drink before bed

I tried taking my sons bottles away cold turkey. I did it for 3 days. People said they would be better. But he got worse each day. By day three he started having night terrors. Waking up in the mid of the night screaming and running around his room trying to hurt himself. Then he would just pass out. Finally I couldnt take it anymore and I gave it back. The next day he bit a hole in the nipple and I didnt want him to choke and couldnt afford a new nipple so I cut the rest of the top off and told him that it was broken because he bit it. And he didnt want it anymore. Even two months later when I had his baby sister and she had bottles....it didnt even phase him.
I was amazed to get him off because my son had his bottle since he was born and his whole little life he was dependant on it. He had it for everything and that was my fault I gave it to him any time he whined because I was lazy....With my second child who is now 8 months old I made sure not to make her dependant on it and she only gets it for feedings. I know she will be easy to break....hope this helps good luck!

Thanks.She has milk in the morning and then juice throughout the day but seems to associate milk with bottle and juice beaker but thats prob my own fault.Well as from 2moro im gunna throw the bottles and just try with sippy cup on the night and see how get on

We give our kids a sippy cup of water at bed. We had to the disposable liners for the bottles so when the box ran out we just didn't get anymore. I think kids get in the habit of having it and not really needing it. Does she drink any milk during the day or is it just juice. She will get used to drinking out of the cup even at night. My kids (I have 3) had to drink their milk each day before they got to drink any juice. As for potty training, it didn't matter to my kids if they had a drink at bed or not. When they were ready to go potty at night they did. Good luck.

Well as for the bottle i would just take it and not give it back no matter what. Thats what worked for me. Im still working on the nighttime potty thing myself so I can't help there.
