My 2 yr old received this as a gift. I agree it's geared to an older child but is a fun toy when supervised. The "pen" reminds her of the tool the dr uses to examine her ears and nose so she likes to examine her little sister if "allowed."

Yes we got it for Christmas. It is definately geared towards older children 4+ but it works really well and is easy to use. The only other downside is the pages are pretty flimsy. We bought it for our 2 1/2 year old and we have to supervise him while he is using it or it might end up shredded! We really like it though and so does our son even though he doesn't understand how to play the games in the books. He can still interact with the characters and the words in the books.
