You say your son does not eat junk food, yes he does! Chicken nuggets and burgers and mac n cheese are all processed foods which contain a lot of sugar and fat.

I think you should take your son to the doctors and let them help you by referring you to a dietician. Who will be able to give you help and advice on cooking child friendly meals that are good for him. At nearly 6 stone he is very over weight and I can see you are asking for help which is a good thing. Do the best thing for him and seek help. I assure you your son will eat when hungry enough and to keep giving these foods because he has a strop is only enforcing bad behaviour. Ignore the strops give him a healthy meal for example shepherds pie with vegetables diced finely in the meat sauce and mash potato and carrots as a topping. There are ways of sneaking vegetables in without your child knowing.

Please help your son to change his eating habits because the way he is going he will not be able to do all those little boy things like climbing trees and playing football because he will be to heavy. Don't give in to him, and let him lead a full and active childhood.
