How can I clean my daughters earrings..?

I just got my daughters ears pierced two days ago. I was wondering if anyone who got their child's ears done could give me a few pointers. When I try to clean them she cries and says it hurts, but it doesn't look infected or anything, I personally do not think they are infected or anything like that, I think it's just that she is scared, so how can I clean them without her freaking out??

Try a cotton ball or swab and soak it in hydrogen peroxide, play with her and get her in a happy mood (tickle her, lay in bed and goof around etc.) this way she'll be distracted at the moment you wipe her ears/earrings and won't even notice it much. Using peroxide will give you a good clue as to her healing progress because it only stings when there is some sort of infection or open wound, otherwise if she is healing just fine she won't even blink.
