if i do not comply with her requests she will most outrageously throw a sever tantrum waking up the household and probably the neighbours. I have swapped milk with juice, juice with water but nothing works. I have tried automatic baby music which comes on at the sound of her awakening. i have tried soothing her and rubbing her back till she drifts off but as soon as i stand up to leave shes awake and screaming bloody murder again. Also i have tried to listen to hours of relentless screaming hoping she will break before me but this does not happen. What can i do?

if it makes you feel any better your not alone i am going through the same thing my son is a yer old and man the screams are bad and i cant sleep and im pregnant again too so i need my sleep especially since i have trouble sleeping anyways lol but i was researching and reading alot of books on this and i realized that i just have to brush his teeth a little bit more than i do i brush them three times a day and let him get off of it on his own. Usually if you let them cry it out they will tire themselves out and fall asleep yea mine doesnt lol

My honest answer? I didn't! My son is three and takes a sippy cup to bed every night with juice or milk. Even my 5 year old takes a cup up with her too. I personally don't see the problem with it unless you are having trouble with bed-wetting. Both my children had a bottle as a comforter they never had blankies or favourite toys just bottles. From a very young age they have taken them EVERYWHERE and my son still does. :-)
