How do I get my son to go to bed on time?

When Sammy was still an infant, I've tried the Ferber method. It was going well too. Yet, I had moved in with my parents after my divorce and they weren't having their grandson screaming for someone in their house. Now my son is going to be 4 this year and I still can't get him to go to bed when he is supposed to. On top of that, he won't sleep in his own bed either. What should I do???

Have you read 'Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child?' It's my sleep 'bible.' You should read it, and your parents too. There will be some crying - just like with a tantrum. But, it shouldn't last too many days if you stick with a plan. Good Luck.

First let me say I am no expert but what worked for me is repetition of our night routine.  My daughters is 2 and she has been on a set schedule for bed since she was one.  We start with wind down time around 7pm where we turn off all t.v's phones etc...and i give her a nice bath and after her bath we brush her teeth and read her favorite book.  We have done this nigntly and now she just knows what time it is when the tv goes off and her bath is running.  I would say start a routine nightly to see if that helps.  Sleeping in his own bed maybe somene else can help you there my daughter has always been an independent sleeper.  GOOD LUCK :)
