MY 15 month old got into the children finger paint, when i noticed it was all over the carpet and dry and i have tried washing powder in warm water and that hasn't worked and other ideas i can try

Peroxide. Pour directly on stain. let it bubble for a bit then blot with a towel. Works on blood,poop and red wine too. plus its cheap and can get it everywhere.

I either use Dreft Laundry Stain Remover, or Nature's Miracle for almost every stain in my house. Very occasionally on fabrics that aren't supposed to have water based cleaners applied to them I'll use Resolve, but rarely.

Try vinegar and baking soda. Otherwise I am thinking carpet cleaner.

My son has definitely done this too! I just used a carpet shampoo from the store that took it out easily (luckily!). I've tried things like nail polish remover before, but you must be very careful. As Rebecca said, test it out on a tiny corner before using it on the paint.

if it is finger paints set a warm wash rag on it to loosen then scrub with carpet spray like Woolite or resolve this works as my son painted his floor black once.

Goo gone, my daughter actually got nail polish in the carpet and I got the Goo gone paint thinner based and it worked like a charm!

Get the carpet shampoo made by Kirby. Not the shampooer, just a bottle of the shampoo. Pour some on a damp cloth then wipe the spot up. Once the spot is gone wipe with a clean damp cloth to get the extra soap out. I've never done it with finger paint, but I've gotten a lot of other stains out with that.

I'd be very careful about it, but you can try fingernail polish remover. Test an area first, though, in case your carpet is dark and the color gets taken out. A step up from that would be actual paint thinner, but there are even more chemicals in that, I'd think. I've taken wall paint out of the carpet with polish remover, though. Good luck!

can't say i've ever had it happen here, but possibly a steam cleaner or carpet shampooer that you can usually rent.. good luck..
