How often do you apply lotion to your 1 year old?

since about 5 months I really haven't been applying lotion on my son like I did when he was first born. I do put on lotion maybe once a week or 2. Is this normal? Do you still apply lotion to your baby? I know I guess I should but he's so hart to keep still!

I almost always apply it to my son after his bath because if i don't his skin gets really dry especially in the winter. Every once in a while i will apply a little bit to his bottom if i notice that it is starting to get a little red or after he has just pooped so he smells nice and fresh.

Yep, I still try to put Huggies lotion with shea butter on twice a day. He isn't always as willing, but I LOVE the baby softness and the smell... I can't resist! My 15 month old also has eczma and it helps me stay ahead of the game.

We put lotion on our son every night but that was only because he had dermatitis. I wouldn't routinely do it otherwise, unless the skin looked a bit dry.

Great advise! Thanks! It seems since he's started daycare in August, every single time he comes home, I try feeding him, and by then he is super tired, always in a growshy mood, I can barely feed him, then I have to get him in bath tub, then after he gives me hell! :D We're working on this though! ha,ha

What i do is i wait till i see my daughter is a little sleepy and i take her a bath, and by the time she is done playing in the tub shes too tired to to run away from me when i get her ready for bed so i give her a lotion massage and get her dressed give her a bottle and shes knocked out but i do this once or twice a week only. But im sure more then that wont hurt as long as you have a good lotion for your little one

well i apply one fourth amt of wat i used to...in india the weather is bit unpredictable and at times very warm and then humid... so i apply lotion after his bath...and as for the keeping them still... i tell u... he loves running around! so appling the lotion chasing him around is quite ok.. the rest is an issue..
